For Professionals
A radiant panel must do more than merely heat a home. Ease of use in conventional construction can be as important as thermodynamic performance. Any contractor who has endured the challenges of pouring thin slabs on top of a subfloor or the laborious process of stapling tubing to the bottom of subfloor will quickly appreciate Warmboard's ease of use. So much of the efficiency of Warmboard comes from the simple fact that it is the structural subfloor of your home. Any carpenter who has ever sawn plywood subfloor and nailed or screwed it to floor joists has all the skills needed to install Warmboard.
The process of installing Warmboard accomplishes the tubing layout at the same time. Our detailed plans show where to start and stop each loop, where to place manifolds and how to run leaders between the loops and manifolds.
With loop layout already accomplished by merely nailing down your Warmboard subfloor, tubing installation requires little more than rolling 1/2" hydronic tubing into the Warmboard channels.
